  13. *** What is Amapi 3D? *****************************
  14.  
  15.  Amapi 3D is a fast and powerful 3D modeler, with a mix or cartoon 
  16.  rendering styles, raytracing and some animation. It is often used in 
  17.  conjunction with other applications for web content creation, morph 
  18.  target generation and a variety of 3D design and illustrations in print 
  19.  and other media types. Amapi exports to many 3D and 2D file formats, 
  20.  renders to popular image file formats, and animates to Quicktime (or AVI 
  21.  on PCs).Some of these are in 2D vector formats, many are 3D polygonal, 
  22.  some include Nurbs. Amapi is a great modeling tool for both low polygon 
  23.  editing and NURBS based design.

  25.  The full CD of Amapi 3D v6 comes with a large model collection and tons 
  26.  of  material shaders. However, you will also find that Amapi 3D is an 
  27.  excellent  tool to create all such content youself. When you quickly need
  28.  to add a little  critter, or just a piece of clothing for your hero, a
  29.  space rocket or weapon to  your game, Amapi comes in very handy.

  46.  This month's CD contains a fully functional version of Amapi 3D v4.15.

  48.  After installation, when you launch the application,  it will prompt 
  49.  you for a license "password". If you don't enter a password or
  50.  mistype it, Amapi remains in "demo mode", where saving and exporting 
  51.  are disabled (but rendering to images and animations are still possible).

  54.  Save and Exports on Amapi 3D v4.15:

  98.  Here are a few quickstart tips:

  100.    * Make sure your graphics card has a recent (latest) driver
  101.          (OpenGL, RAVE (Mac), GDI (PC)). If you're not sure, visit
  102.     the website of the graphics card manufacturer and look
  103.     for their latest drivers.

  105.    * use the Basic Wireframe mode initially to become familiar with
  106.     Amapi
  107.  
  108.    * use the Workshop interface with the unique set of 3 toolkits on the
  109.     right. It's the fun and addictive way to use Amapi!

  111.    * use both hands if you can, one on the mouse/tablet, the other on
  112.     the arrow keys for view control
